Elizabeth OC Profile Picture by Odachi65

Name: Elizabeth Caritas

Age: 9

Species: Angel

Occupation: Angel Trainee

Residence: Shared room at the Heaven's Delight Café, in Oakwood Heights

Appearance: Elizabeth is a petite young girl, with somewhat unruly blonde hair that drapes around her entire head. Her large, bright blue eyes show off an innocence and charm few can rival. The fair-skinned little girl is thin and a tad tall for her age. Like most angels, she possesses two large, dove-like wings that extend out of her back. A shining halo hovers right above her head, following each energetic movement she makes. Her face is almost always wearing a wide smile. Elizabeth is usually seen wearing white and golden clothing, normally a white dress with a short skirt, accompanied by long white socks that cover nearly her entire legs. She has long, frilly white and golden boots that are a little bit too big for her, although you’d never guess that thanks to her near constant movement. Elizabeth wears a variety of other clothing, especially when disguising as a human, although they are almost always overtly feminine in nature. She much prefers “pretty” dresses, which most would see as ostentatious.

Personality: Elizabeth is exceedingly energetic, innocent, and kindhearted. To some, the young girl might seem sickeningly sweet, with her incredibly upbeat attitude and eagerness to help. Elizabeth is always trying her hardest to cheer up those around her, although she’s not necessarily very good at it. Adventurous and playful, Elizabeth can sometimes get herself wrapped into all kinds of trouble. Elizabeth is frustratingly optimistic, only seeing the best sides of both people and situations. Not only is she rather naïve, but she also decides on “unique” solutions to people’s problems. To put it nicely, she always has people’s best interests in heart even if she makes poor decisions from time to time. To put it less nicely, Elizabeth is rash, shortsighted and oftentimes simply foolish. She can’t always truly understand what people need in their life, though this is more out of her inexperience and youthful nature. When combined with the large amount of magical strength she possesses, this can potentially lead to disaster. However, Elizabeth is also incredibly hard-working, courteous, and over time has become much better at listening to people’s problems. If she realizes her actions are causing more trouble, she’ll work tirelessly to fix her mistakes. Her earnest attitude and kindly nature make her easy to forgive, and she truly takes lessons to heart. Really, the root of her problems is her immaturity…which is natural for a child her age. Before meeting her “sister”, Elizabeth used to a lot more dour and depressed, hiding her loneliness behind a mask of overconfidence. She’s now truly happy with her life, and has become a lot more humble as a result.

Powers and Skills: Elizabeth is a young angel with an incredible amount of magical potential. Unlike most children, even angelic ones, she can command enormous amounts of magical energy. This allows her to cast spells and perform feats few other children could even hope to…although thanks to her lack of training and relentless optimism, this can prove more of a curse than a blessing. Elizabeth barely understands most of the spells she can cast, and normally overloads them with magical energy. This can cause a variety of unintentional side effects, especially transfiguring the target’s physical form. She has much more control over her healing, illusion, and light magic spells. As with most angels, she knows a little bit of defensive combat magic, and her wings allow her to fly effortlessly through the air. Despite her young age she is also surprisingly skilled at bakery, thanks to her time working in the café.

Hobbies: Since moving to earth, Elizabeth is hooked on television shows, especially children’s cartoons. Patricia McCabe has gotten her to play a few video games, but TV shows are a true passion for the young girl. Elizabeth also volunteers much of her time, focusing on the soup kitchen in the Heaven’s Delight café.

Relationships:

Family: Elizabeth lost her beloved mother and father at an early age, both of them slain in a demon raid. Having no other siblings or real family, she lived alone until she accidentally turned the kind man Christian into the angel Christina. Christina is sort of an “adoptive sister” to Elizabeth, providing her guidance, direction, and support. While they’re not actually related, they are incredibly close and share a true, familial love with one another.

Friends / Others: Elizabeth, being the kind-hearted and friendly, has made plenty of friends, especially after being “adopted” by Christina. Elizabeth is friends with numerous angelic and human children around the “Heaven’s Delight” café. She is also “friends” with a demonic child named Vivian. While the demon insists they are “archenemies”, in most interactions they seem more like friends. Vivian’s “minion”, the kitsune Cordelia, possesses a bizarre hatred towards Elizabeth that the little angel can’t understand, although Elizabeth treats her as a friend regardless. Elizabeth also knows an adult catgirl by the name of Patricia, who provides the angel with cheerful advice not unlike Elizabeth’s own sister.

Background: While Elizabeth is happy and healthy now, she previously led a lonely and sorrowful life. Elizabeth was born in small angelic family. Her parents were endlessly kind, compassionate, and truly loved their daughter with all their heart. They lived in a small village on the outskirts of the angelic plane, happily helping both one another and humanity. The couple actually ran the small village. For the first couple years of her life, Elizabeth learned to wholeheartedly love other people, especially her own parents. She seemed set up to enjoy a happy, normal childhood…but it wasn’t meant to be. When she was only four years old, the small village became the target of a demonic raid. The peaceful village stood little chance against the fiendish invaders, who plundered it for resources and slayed most of its inhabitants. Elizabeth’s parents went down fighting to protect not only their daughter, but the rest of the survivors in the town. Their sacrifice bought time for reinforcements to arrive, which swiftly routed the demonic incursion. While the raid may have been small, it was more than enough to devastate the small town. Elizabeth was sent away from her home. The young child fell deep into sorrow, unable to fully understand her parents’ demise. During this time, she slowly developed a mask of overconfidence in a futile attempt to gain more friends. However, her attitude ended up pushing away the other angelic children more than attracting them. Her frequent, traumatic memories also made it hard for the young child to move on with her life.

However, life still did move on for the little girl. She was eventually offered a chance to live in earth for a time, practicing her magical skills and aiding humans as much as she can. Despite her young age, Elizabeth recognized this opportunity as a new start. She could finally have the friends she craved, while also helping as many people as she can. Elizabeth was assigned to the city of Oakwood Heights, a city secretly filled to the brim with supernatural creatures and magical occurrences. She would stay in the “Heaven’s Delight Café”, a coffee shop that doubled as a soup kitchen. In reality, it is a front for traveling angels wishing to help humanity in a low-key environment. The Heaven’s Delight Café did wonders for Elizabeth, as she not only found a warm, welcoming environment, but also a sense of satisfaction helping out around it. Whether it be serving cookies to children to helping out in the soup kitchen, Elizabeth truly loved her work. Unfortunately, Elizabeth’s self-esteem was still suffering. Elizabeth still lacked some of the guidance, love, and support she really needed, and would find herself falling into sorrow at times. She would get overconfident and rash, and thus botch spells and attempts to aid humans around town. Her failures only reduced her self-esteem further, causing a vicious cycle. The older angels in the café were somewhat frustrated, unsure of what exactly to do to help. As luck would have it, that problem got solved soon enough.

Christian was a young man just having finished high school. He had little ambitions, although he was devoted to volunteer work and honestly wished to improve the lives of those around him, especially with his career. Christian was orphaned at a young age, not unlike Elizabeth, and struggled heavily with loneliness and depression. He thought he might turn his life around after he bought a “magical amulet” that would let him change his life entirely. After wearing it for the first time, the necklace locked in becoming impossible to remove. He screamed desperately wishing to escape this terrible curse. Elizabeth, eager to save those in need, jumped into action. Breaking curses was normally an involved and complicated process, and one that required a great degree of care. Elizabeth, in her inexperience, simply powered the spell with ridiculous amounts of magical energy. Just as Christian realized the chain on the necklace had simply broken, he was hit with the massive amount of divine power. Unbeknownst to either of them, Christian’s bloodline featured many angelic members, and Elizabeth’s divine strength awakened all of it at once. In what most angels, demons, and wizards alike consider a miracle, Christian was quickly transformed into a female, full angel. While initially furious at his circumstance, he realized that being an angel would allow him to aid the lives of others for eternity, while granting him a variety of useful magical abilities. Donning the name Christina, the former human fully accepted her new role in life. Not only that, but she also “adopted” Elizabeth, offering to serve as Elizabeth’s new “older sister”. Both Elizabeth and Christina were overjoyed to end their loneliness. The pair grew incredibly close over time, sharing a familial bond just as strong as most tied by blood. Christina’s stern, yet supportive guidance served Elizabeth well, lifting the little angel out of her sorrows. Elizabeth is endlessly thankful of her “older sister”, fully understanding how much better her life is now.

Elizabeth now spends her time happily in Oakwood Heights. When not watching TV, playing with the other children, or helping out around the café, Elizabeth wanders about the town, attempting to right wrongs or improve the lives of those around her. Due to her excitable nature, Elizabeth is incredibly quick to action, and wildly casts spells to fix any problem around her. She’ll often accidentally change her “victims” physical forms, use the wrong spells, or follow disastrously bizarre trains of logic to their conclusion. Her incredibly optimistic nature only sees the best in these scenarios…even if the person affected doesn’t really agree. To the little angel’s credit, most of her “victims” end up with significantly improved lives by the time she’s done “helping” them…even if multiple of her spells need to be reversed first. It’s unclear if it’s simply luck, fate, or some kind of hidden wisdom, but Elizabeth still manages to spread happiness wherever she goes. She lives a happy, carefree life…although as she matures, that might not last forever. Rumor has it that relatively soon she may have to start attending human school, along with the other angelic and demonic children. She’s not fully aware of this, but her friendly and energetic nature imply she’d do just fine.

Of special note is her relationship with the demon Vivian Maleficarum. Vivian is a demonic child the same age as the little angel. Vivian treats Elizabeth as her “archrival” challenging her to “duels of wits, strength, and skill” often. These duels normally take the form of board games, watching movies and guessing what will happen, and children’s games. The little demon even invites her to “scout out human territory” by visiting places around town. In effect, they simply relax and have fun with one another, as most friends would. For her part, Elizabeth doesn’t even consider them “rivals” at all, and in many ways considers Vivian one of her best friends. Elizabeth’s innocence and kindness overcomes even the trauma of her past, and Vivian’s demonic nature doesn’t seem to bother the little angel much. Perhaps that is rather naïve, but she happily enjoys spending time with her friend. Instead, Elizabeth works to encourage and cultivate the nicer sides of Vivian’s personality. She has not yet noticed the innocent, child-like crush the demon has on her. Vivian’s “minion” Cordelia has a much more strained relationship with Elizabeth. Cordelia is even more bitter, sarcastic, and rude towards Elizabeth than most, as if she hates even the sight of the little angel. Her hate is clearly abnormal, as her disdain far exceeds that which she shows towards other angels. Elizabeth is extremely confused by this, and continues to show nothing but politeness and respect towards Vivian’s friend regardless. Perhaps one day they’ll settle their differences…or perhaps not. Either way, Elizabeth will continue to enjoy her carefree childhood, at least until the struggles of adulthood and maturity catch up to her…

This is the new and improved OC profile for Elizabeth! She was actually the first OC I made, so she was probably most in need of a revamp. Even the format was unusual in her old profile. That said, she didn't really get any changes to her backstory, characterization, or things like that. Some new details were added or elaborated upon, but she's basically the same.

In addition, when major stories come out that alter the character (such as entering relationships or gaining new magical powers), I'll be updating the profile. Thanks!

As with all my OC Profiles, feel free to ask questions or do mini-RPs or the like through the comments below! I've included the Kisekae2 export codes in case you want to use the character, just please let me know first. Thanks!

Warning: A lot of my early stories feature some "early installment weirdness". The characterization, personalities, and such have evolved and changed over time. Partially this is due to my changing attitudes on various subjects, and partially it's due to me fleshing many of these characters out later. You might notice some of the characters act very much out of character in some of the stories, so some of my earlier stories might not necessarily be "hard canon".  Thanks for reading!

The above warning especially applies to Elizabeth. She  shouldn't be doing any mental changes on people, unless by accident or the target is incredibly vile. Honestly, the Patricia story is probably the first one where her characterization matches. Still, feel free to read the stories if you're interested!
